I rarely post about crappy services but this one is a joke! At my work I missed a call from “Google” and the caller advised the receptionist he would telephone back. I received a callback request the next day from Robert Fraser on +44(0)1698294848.
I telephoned them and got “Hello”…
Khalid: “Hello is this Robert Fraser” Robert: “Yes it is” Khalid: “Rober I’m Khalid from … I believe you are calling from Google” Robert: “Yes, we’re offering business a listing on Google’s from page within 24 hours” Khalid: “Can you guarantee it” Robert: “Yes, you have my telephone number” Khalid: “What business are you calling from?” Robert: “Get me first limited” Khalid: “And what’s your url” Robert: “Just type in “Get Me First” into Google”
(I do and I get this page)
Khalid: “I can’t believe you can do this unless it is a sponsored listing”
Robert: “Well we’ve done it before” Khalid: “And how do you do it” Robert: “We pay Google to put your page there” Khalid: “We’re working with a leading SEO company who rank first for … and they couldn’t do it” Robert: “Well if you don’t want it then that’s fine” Khalid: “No no, I’m very interested, can you give me a sample of your work?” Robert: “Yes type in “Glasgow Jewellary” into Google” Khalid: “And what site am I looking for?” Robert: “Erm I can’t remember” Khalid: “What do you mean you can’t remember” Robert: “Well it was a long time ago” Khalid: “Well give me another example, I can’t believe you don’t remember your clients url” Robert: “Well I’ve only just started working for the company and I’ve only done it once personally” Khalid: “And you can’t remember the url” Robert: “No sorry it was a long time ago” Khalid: “What a fucking joke, you seriously want me to believe you can do white hate seo and get me a natural position within the serps for any term within 24 hours” Robert: “Well yes, I mean if you don’t believe me then that’s fine” Khalid: “What a fucking joke”
And I put the phone down.
The problem is this fake company may get one or two clients and take thousands from them so I urge you to ReTweet this and get the message out there.
UPDATE: Fraser phoned me back to say he was a student, working for a telesales guy called Mark on +44(0)77948761409 and he didn’t know it was a scam. He asked me to remove his details which I refused as there would be no evidence of his activities, even if he was “innocent”.
Please please please help me to make everyone aware this company are scam artists preying on businesses around the UK.
