I have a couple of sites geared towards groups that spend a lot of time over the summer outdoors camping and always worry about my stats dropping big time. Over the years I have learned that the best way to combat this is to make it so your visitors come back to the site to brag after they have been out for a while.

In my case I focus on trip reviews, gear reviews, photo challenges, etc. While my traffic still sucks on the weekend, Sunday night and Monday it spikes as people come back to add their two cents.

The same strategy should work for folks that go out fly fishing. Best of Luck!
