Germany Cancelled

Khalid / June 11th, 2009 / No Comments

My friends and I were supposed to go to Germany this month for the Haye vs Klitschko boxing fight, however as Haye is unable to compete due to a hand injury, the fight was cancelled.

We risk losing out on the cost of our flights and accommodation but I guess that’s a gamble you take when travelling abroad for events. We could still go but the whole idea was to be there for the fight.

Instead we’ve booked a boys weekend up North and will be fishing in Loch Lomond. I’ve enjoyed fishing since I was a kid and it is one way I can truly relax. Armed with two rods each, a fish finder (Stephen likes to cheat) and a variety of baits, we’re going all out to catch some wild salmon and trout.

Fingers crossed we’ll manage to hook a few nice fish that we can eat in the evening with a few drinks. We’ll be staying in a luxury log cabin that we managed to get on a weekend deal and only a stone’s throw away from the loch so it should be a great weekend!

Good luck with your pursuits,

Khalid.

Time Out

Khalid / April 15th, 2009 / No Comments

I decided to book a holiday with my girlfriend this week, so we’re heading to the Algarve in Portugal for 7 days of sun, sea and sand. It’s not the first time I’ve been to Portugal, and I usually like to visit a new place each year, but we got a cracking deal for the time we could go. £500 for a week in a 4 star hotel, with our own apartment, all inclusive, flying to and from Edinburgh (my home city) at great times.

My good friend Stephen has also planned a weekend to Dusseldof in June to watch the Haye vs. Klitschko boxing match. Again another great deal; £100 for flights to and from Edinburgh, staying in a 4 star hotel for two nights. And the price includes entry to the fight.

So two great holidays at two great prices, job done! :)

Good luck with your persuits,

Khalid.
